An estimated nine million people aged 65 and older volunteer their time each year in this country. SCORE chapters are built on the support of dedicated volunteers and draw on their lifetime of experience and skills. There is no more exemplary model of this than SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon volunteer mentor Tom Roche.
SCORE mentor Joella Gamon was first introduced to the Chapter as a SCORE client. She had a great experience working with her mentor Kevin Saint Cyr. So when he mentioned that she would be a welcome addition to the ranks of mentors, Joella jumped at the chance to give back to a community that she was passionate about within an established network of seasoned professionals. It seemed like the perfect fit.
SCORE mentor Ramon Estevez contributes financial expertise and bilingual skills to Chapter 16 while still pursuing an active full-time career.
New SCORE mentor Naeem Malik, recently retired from Armstrong contributes to the mission of Chapter 16.
Paul Trunk leads the Member Services Committee, which oversees volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention, to continue advancing the SCORE mission within Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.
SCORE Chapter 16, in partnership with Language Beyond Borders, is investing in the rich diversity of the region, as it extends it reach to any non-English speaking client seeking mentoring services for their new or existing businesses
From joining a larger effort to making a donation, small businesses have several effective ways to participate in volunteer work.
