The mentors of SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon are proud to partner with ASSETS.  This non-profit organization, founded in 1993, “creates economic opportunity and cultivates entrepreneurial leadership to alleviate poverty and build vibrant, sustainable communities.”  We collaborate as a sponsor of the Cultivate Lancaster Entrepreneurs Forum each season by offering expert advice and feedback to forum attendees in breakout mentoring sessions.

It is always an exciting time at the Cultivate Lancaster Entrepreneurs Forums as new entrepreneurs are anxious to discuss their ideas & receive feedback.  I always enjoy being a part of these events.”

Jerry Glenn, SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon volunteer mentor

Each Spring our mentors look forward to participating in a session of the ASSETS Lending Circles. This is a unique lending program for small business owners that provides access to capital and business technical assistance services while establishing or improving credit history.

By the time SCORE mentors arrive at the Learning Circle, they have developed a happy and enthusiastic culture, thanks to the dedicated staff at ASSETS who run the show. SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon mentors provide deeper and broader business and nonprofit experience, and one-on-one mentoring, that is just what the entrepreneurs need at that point. ASSETS has primed the pump well, and the clients we get are first-class.  ASSETS is always on the move, looking for new and better ways to serve its mission.”

Larry Keating, volunteer mentor, SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon

The combination of SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon and ASSETS working together towards the goal of assisting entrepreneurs and creating economic opportunities for individuals that will strengthen the fabric of our communities speaks to the very heart of the SCORE mission.

The partnership between ASSETS and SCORE has been crucial for the success of the entrepreneurship community within Lancaster County and beyond. The mentorship and expertise provided by SCORE mentors have been very much appreciated by ASSETS and the small business owners we serve."
