SCORE client and mother of three, Hannah Harris created Tiny Town—an indoor interactive play village for children ages 7 and under, located right here in Lancaster County.
Tiny Town opened for business this past Saturday in an 8,000-square-foot warehouse space on Janet Avenue in Lancaster City. This exciting indoor play-center, which consists of nine large playhouses, is powered by childrens’ imaginations.
The small village mimics a town square where little ones can role play in a number of different scenarios. Children can create specialty drinks with a toy blender in the café, or climb up the ladder inside the fire station.
“The children end up educating themselves through play without all that extra technology,” Harris says. “We want a place where kids can role play, where they can explore all of these items—with their hands and their minds.”
Harris developed Tiny Town with both children and parents in mind, providing a small coffee bar and lounge where parents and caregivers can enjoy a hot beverage or baked good while keeping an eye on their children at play.
