When Dave Diffenderffer retired as the Market President of a small community bank in Harrisburg, PA, he wanted to give back to his community, "I felt that I had the experience and skills that align with the needs of SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon. In my career, I had always enjoyed working with emerging entrepreneurs and leaders in our community. SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon provided me the opportunity to continue this role in retirement."
Dave has extensive experience in banking, with particular emphasis on commercial lending, financial analysis, strategic planning, and business plans. His expertise extends into industries related to contractors, construction, non-profits, service, commercial real estate, and transportation. Since 2010, Dave has counseled SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon clients in all phases of their business life cycle, "I enjoy watching our SCORE clients take something that they are passionate about, and convert it into a viable business. If we can help them be successful, we have succeeded in our role."
"We have a robust Chapter here in Lancaster and Lebanon that is always looking to develop new initiatives and relationships within the community," Dave explains. "There is always something new and exciting happening in our Chapter, and I have benefited greatly by my association with them."
During his time has a SCORE volunteer mentor, Dave has appreciated the depth of knowledge and commitment that the Lancaster-Lebanon Chapter volunteers have, "Although each member's path in life may have been different, they all come together in their passion to help others better themselves in the community. I have made new friends, shared many interesting experiences and ideas, and have learned a lot in the process."
