There is no more unlikely pair than this client-mentor duo. The SCORE mentor’s background is one of business and finance, while his client inhabits the world of style and beauty. But SCORE Lancaster-Lebanon mentor Eric Parker and Darcy Taylor, proud owner of Salon Enso, have developed a strong bond over their time spent working towards a successful future for her business. Eric glows with pride as he describes Darcy’s commitment to continuing education for herself, and her staff. Each member of the Salon Enso team participates in at least three continuing education classes each year to stay up to date on the latest technologies and current trends. This commitment to education is not limited to her profession. Darcy challenges herself to learn everything she can about the financial aspects of running a successful business.

Darcy opened Salon Enso in 2011 and since that time has developed a solid reputation as one of Lancaster’s top salons by staffing her team with the most skilled stylists in the area. This is now a vital area that she works on with her mentor in expanding and evolving plans as Salon Enso continues to grow.

“The challenge Darcy faces is finding that exceptional talent to grow the business.  The very talented stylists of Salon Enso are ‘the best of the best.’ To grow her business, Darcy had to either find more superstars or take really talented stylists and help them fine tune their skill sets. Always a believer in continuing education for herself and her stylists, Darcy developed and implemented a continuing education and an advanced skills plan.”
